Ezibu Muntu African Dance and Cultural Foundation
The Fredericksburg Area Museum (FAM) and the Richmond-based Ezibu Muntu African Dance and Cultural Foundation are pleased to announce a traditional African dance performance in historic Market Square on Saturday, October 14th at 2:00 PM sponsored by Surgi-Center of Central Virginia. This event is free and open to the public.
Ezibu Muntu African Dance and Cultural Foundation has been exciting and educating audiences for over 25 years in the Richmond region. As a 501(C)3, Ezibu Muntu aims to educate the community about African customs, traditions, and culture through educational and artistic programming. Dancers, drummers, entertainers, and over 1,000 individuals have collectively contributed to the organization.
The FAM is looking forward to co-hosting this exciting event in historic Market Square as it continues to seek further community involvement and collaborations with other non-profit and cultural organizations in the region. The mission of the FAM and that of Ezibu Muntu are similar in their quest to enrich the lives of children and community through traditions, history, and the arts.
This event is FREE, open to the public, and family-friendly. Donations to both organizations are welcomed and appreciated! Please note, in case of inclement weather this event will be canceled.
