Black Arts Festival

The Fredericksburg Black Arts Festival is a culmination of African American culture, music and art in the Fredericksburg area. The Fredericksburg Area Museum and Fredericksburg Parks and Recreation have partnered to create a revised version of the original Harambee 360 Black Arts Festival created in 1975.

The Fredericksburg Black Arts Festival’s mission is to honor and protect the legacy of African American artists and community pioneers in Fredericksburg, with a goal to immerse the community in diverse culture, art and music.

The Fredericksburg Area Museum and the City of Fredericksburg Parks and Recreation have teamed up to unveil a reimagined version of the festival. This year, the festival will be held on November 1st and 2nd. The festival is free admission and will feature contextual arts, dance and live music performances from artists around the Fredericksburg area and beyond.
