The Fredericksburg Area Museum invites you to be part of history as we commemorate 250 years since the American Revolution.
-
As Virginia commemorates 250 years since the American Revolution, Fredericksburg stands as a city deeply rooted in the fight for independence and the legacy it left behind.
Through historic artifacts, personal stories, and community memory, discover how Fredericksburg helped forge a nation; and how, from battlefield to bicentennial to today, it continues to reflect on its Revolutionary story.
Our upcoming anniversary exhibition, Witness to a Revolution, will explore Fredericksburg’s role in the American Revolution and how the city has remembered that legacy over time.
