Yappy Hour – May First Friday

Bring your leashed and well-behaved pets to Market Square on May 3 from 5 – 8 PM and celebrate FAM’s new exhibit “People & Their Pets.” The Fredericksburg SPCA, Off Leash K9 Training, pet artist Sonja Wise and Adventure Brewing Co. will be in the Square. Please note this event is weather permitting and that pets excluding service animals are not allowed in the Museum Galleries.


Local author, Dawn McCarty will be onsite promoting her book, “Being Different Rocks!” Being Different Rocks! is a true story about Mickie-D a German Shepherd Dog that was born different. Mickie-D shares his journey to his furever home, learning about dog rescue, having adventures and that being different rocks.

Join the Fredericksburg Area Museum (FAM) for free public programs throughout April and May. FAM’s First Friday series will provide extended hours and engaging programs to the public every month. Second Saturdays at the Museum offers family activities, performances as well as make-and-take crafts geared for all ages. As always, these recurring programs are FREE and open to the public, all ages are welcome!
