Bricks and Boards in the ‘Burg – Walking Tours
The Fredericksburg Area Museum, along with Hallowed Ground Tours, presents walking tours of historic downtown Fredericksburg. Bricks and Boards in the ’Burg will highlight four centuries of history and architecture, the historic influence of the Rappahannock River, the Spire and Steeples of Princess Anne Street, Fredericksburg’s Town Hall, Market House and the history of Market Square.
Tours begin and end in Market Square and run every Saturday, April 14 – October 6, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
In addition to the Saturday morning tours, a special series of tours will be conducted on May 26, June 30, September 1, and October 6, beginning at 11:30 am. Participants on these walking tours, titled This Ol’ Town: The History of Our Homes, will walk through prominent residential areas of Fredericksburg’s Historic District. Tour guides will discuss centuries of architecture and will unravel the histories of people who helped shape the Fredericksburg community. Tours depart from neighborhood locations and last approximately 1 hour.

The cost for all tours is $7/adults, $4/children. FREE for Museum members. Participants receive FREE admission to the Museum following the tour.
